Gandrayani or Angelica Glauca Edgew grows in damp meadows, slow moving streams, forest gullies in rocky substrata in Western part of Himalayas in Kashmir to Uttarakhand in India.

Gandrayani roots are diuretic, pungent, diaphoretic in nature. It is good appetizer and mixed with other tonics is administered to in conditions like typhoid, colic, flatulence and stomach pain.
